My name is Isaac Robertson, and I’m a 14-year-old aspiring musician. Together with The School of Rock band, I’m gearing up to perform in my local community. My Story:
My musical journey began when I discovered my rhythm through drumming. I spent hours tapping and banging on anything I could find (I still do). However, fate had something special in store for me. A discarded upright piano my parents stumbled upon on the street ignited a new interest in me for keyboard playing. After some restoration work, the piano came to life, and I started experimenting with melodies from holiday tunes to my own creations. Playing on that old piano, with its unknown history and quirky keys, sparked a passion that I couldn’t ignore. This year, I’ve dedicated countless hours to building my skills and expanding my musical horizons. This hard work paid off as I progressed through Rock 101 and earned a spot in the Performance program. This summer, I’ll be performing with a local band of musicians who share my passion. This opportunity is a significant milestone for me, and it’s a chance to grow as a musician playing in front of a wider audience.
